Initial Consultation
Before the Examination
Before undergoing the examination, you have to adhere to the following dietary guidelines:
Colonoscopy: Refrain from consuming high-fiber foods and beverages for three days prior to the examination. On the evening before the examination, a prescribed laxative should be taken to clear the bowels. Failure to adequately cleanse the intestines may hinder the effectiveness of the colonoscopy.
Gastroscopy: Fast for six hours before the examination procedure.
On the day of Examination
Before the examination, our specialist doctors and nurses will assess the your condition to determine suitability for the procedure. The duration of the examination varies. A colonoscopy generally takes about 45 minutes, while a gastroscopy typically takes around 20 minutes. After the examination is completed, you can rest in a recovery area or VIP room until full consciousness is regained.
If you do not experience dizziness or nausea after the examination, you can consume food within 30 minutes following the completion of the procedure.
